Secretary of State Rubio met with the foreign ministers of Japan, India, and Australia in New Delhi last month for the 11th Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. They discussed progress and advancements on a “free and open Indo-Pacific.”

The officials released a joint statement outlining “key new initiatives to strengthen maritime and transnational security, economic prosperity and security, critical and emerging technology, and support humanitarian assistance and emergency response across the region.” The leaders also discussed situations in the Middle East, the East China Sea and South China Sea.

The framework for critical minerals includes investment and project development plans, environmental improvements and regulatory alignment, and the recycling and recovery of critical minerals.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for Secretary Rubio as he engages with foreign ministers and heads U.S. diplomatic efforts.
  • For U.S. ambassadors to be prudent in their engagements with foreign leaders and officials.
